Filled Positions

Wood Fabricator

This position is responsible for the efficient execution of wood fabrication projects. Requirements include knowledge and use of common hand tools and woodworking equipment, attention to detail and quality, ability to understand and communicate project details, ability to work during normal business hours Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM, ability to work a flexible work schedule and have the ability to work overtime on short notice (including weekends as required), ability to work independently and as a part of a larger team, and ability to take initiative to keep work flowing and on schedule.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining an organized and safe work environment
  • Following directions from project leaders and supervisors
  • Reviewing upcoming work in LiquidPlanner software and maintaining timesheet on a daily basis
  • Reviewing information on the shop white board and in drawings prior to commencing work on a project
  • Calling attention to any safety concerns, malfunctioning equipment, or tools that need to be serviced or replaced

Deputy Technical Director

This full-time position is responsible for the evaluation, refinement, and execution of RFPs. The ideal candidate will have a diverse knowledge of materials, fabrication and installation techniques, and design approaches so that s/he may work, in collaboration, to create production designs, methods, and schedules. Requirements include excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high level of familiarity and productivity within a Mac environment. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing proposal responses for RFPs and sales efforts
  • Facilitating client communications to ensure client directives and company commitments are met and understood by all parties
  • Defining resource allocation and logistical needs for awarded projects
  • Collaborating in the creation of production drawings
  • Creating procurement lists for awarded projects
  • Identifying areas for improved efficiencies and value engineering
  • Actively participating in project management/CRM software
  • Overseeing fabrication timelines and procedures incorporating time, quality, and budget considerations

 

 

 

Metal Fabricator

Senior Wood Fabricator

This full-time position is responsible for overseeing woodworking and quality control at New Project, LLC. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience with a wide variety of woodworking tools and methods as well as experience with metals, plastics, and lighting.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining an organized and safe work environment
  • Providing equipment and skill training to employees
  • Inspecting tools and equipment for repairs and/or replacement
  • Reducing material waste and ensuring proper use of tools
  • Tracking, labeling, and cataloging tools

Senior Metal Fabricator

This full-time position is responsible for overseeing quality control and metalwork at New Project, LLC. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience with a wide range of metalworking tools and methods as well as knowledge of wood, plastics, motors, mechanisms, etc.  Must be a creative problem solver, be self-directed, and have experience managing others and overseeing schedules and budgets.  Projects range from architectural interior work, furniture, sculptures, to unique one-of-a-kind constructions.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Keeping a very organized, efficient, and safe metal shop
  • Providing safety training to employees
  • Providing equipment and skill training to employees
  • Motivating employees for improving quality and meeting goals
  • Tracking and updating project information and schedules in project management software
  • Reviewing and relaying information to the shop team via the white board and direct communication
  • Inspecting tools and equipment for repairs and/or replacement
  • Tracking, labeling, and cataloging tools
  • Maintaining supply levels for consumables and materials (fasteners, safety equipment, etc.)
