Client: Calvin Klein
Project: Dover Street Market (NYC & Ginza, Tokyo)
Our Role: Fabrication & Installation
Description: New Project was asked by client Calvin Klein to create architecturally distinct clothing racks to creatively display their collection in the Dover Street Markets in both NYC and Ginza, Tokyo. For the New York location, they requested a large wardrobe rack with felt-covered monoliths connected by a brushed aluminum bar. For the Tokyo location, they requested two unique faceted forms covered in felt with copper rivet detail, to be connected by a complex, blackened steel bar to create an artistic hanging rack. In addition to that 6-foot long piece, they requested a triangular 5-foot by 5-foot steel clothing rack and two felt and copper covered angular pedestals. Subsequently, New Project created similar display pieces for their New York flagship.
