Project: Tattooed New York

Our Role: Fabrication and Installation

Description: When we found out about the NYHS’s exhibition about the history of tattooing in New York, we knew we’d want to have skin in the game so we put our A-team on the job! We fabricated and installed platforms, cases, and the speed rail system for the show Tattooed New York, on view February 3 through April 30, 2017.

The exhibition, spanning 300+ years, included artifacts, photographs, video, and even live tattoo demonstrations by some of today’s most acclaimed tattoo artists.

New Project is pleased to have once again worked with the talented exhibitions group at the museum to execute their ideas for this extremely popular show. To learn more, read Holland Carter’s review in The New York Times or check out the instagram feed #TattooedNY.
