PUMA Forever Better Displays

PUMA | Faculty Design

To support PUMA’s Forever Better sustainability initiative, New Project was engaged for design development support, fabrication and installation of new retail fixtures with the future in mind. Collaborating with the PUMA Visual Experience team and brand design specialists, Faculty, the displays design was developed as a signature space within PUMA’s NYC Fifth Avenue flagship to showcase their apparel lines produced using recycled and post-consumer content.


A branded feature wall engages shoppers as they approach and becomes a layered  backdrop for the series of multi-functional modular fixtures with integrated storage. Mirroring PUMA’s exploration of production technologies in how they utilize recycled content, a critical driver of New Project’s scope of work was leading the sustainable materials research and procurement phase. The building blocks for the kit-of-parts system include formaldehyde-free wood substrates and recycled rubber. Biophilic design elements were also incorporated, utilizing plantings in the treatment of PUMA’s logo and integrating repurposable metal mesh to serve as both a base for adhering fixtures as well as allowing for the addition of greenery in the future.
