Torkwase Dyson at Pace Gallery

Torkwase Dyson’s first solo exhibition at Pace Gallery, “A Liquid Belonging,” is a stunning presentation of 2D and 3D multimedia works. New Project was engaged by the artist to provide design engineering and art fabrication services for Liveness (Multi-Scalar Motion #1) (2022). Conceived by the artist specifically for the first floor gallery space, the realization of the monumental, site-specific sculptural installation required a highly collaborative process. The precise engineering and refinement of the precambered steel components create subtle gradations and when integrated into the graphite structures, a seemingly effortless effect of shifting weights, textures, and forms.
